The Attachment Scheme assists individuals with relevant experience in film or television production, to move to a higher level in their professions by obtaining on-the-job experience in the industry.

Apprenticeships are an Australian Government supported initiative and a good industry breaker requiring little experience.

Mentorship programs are designed for emerging filmmakers and established film practitioners to form a relationship with a more experienced counterpart where creative and professional development can be fostered and cultivated. Typically these programs entail the mentor applicant have a particular person in mind as their mentor and the organisation they apply with then encourages and assists in realising this relationship.

Each year the Producer Extension Placement Scheme will provide two emerging Producers and two emerging Indigenous Producers with paid training in project development and production finance. The successful applicants will spend time in Screen NSW’s Development and Production Unit and other screen organisations, as well as being supported to attend key industry events. Each attachment will be engaged for 4 days a week over a six-month period.
